Philemon Farm visited Pingtan Island in China to witness how Juncao Technology successfully transformed a desert into green, productive land.
Before Juncao Technology, Pingtan Island was dominated by strong winds, sand, and harsh desert conditions where no trees could grow. Under the leadership of Professor Lin Zhanxi, researchers introduced Juncao Grass to fight desertification, restore soil fertility, and block destructive winds.
Today, Pingtan Island is green and productive because of Juncao Technology. Juncao Grass is now used for:
- Environmental restoration
- Animal feeds
- Mushroom production
- Climate-smart agriculture
This powerful experience strengthens Philemon Farm’s mission to promote Juncao Technology in Rwanda and across Africa to fight climate change, create jobs, improve livestock feeding, and boost mushroom production.
Philemon Farm is committed to training youth and farmers in:
- Juncao Grass establishment
- Mushroom production
- Animal feeds using Juncao
- Climate-smart agriculture
- Environmental protection
