Philemon Farm visited China for advanced training in mushroom tissue culture and laboratory mushroom spawn production. During this training, we learned how to properly sterilize laboratory equipment using alcohol, isolate a clean piece of mushroom tissue, and transfer it into PDA (Potato Dextrose Agar) for propagation.
Tissue culture is a critical step in modern mushroom farming because it ensures high-quality spawn, disease-free production, and increased mushroom yield. This technology supports sustainable agriculture, climate-smart farming, and food security in Rwanda and across Africa.
Through international collaboration between China and Rwanda, Philemon Farm continues to promote:
Juncao Technology, Mushroom Production, Sustainable Farming, Eco-friendly Animal Feed, and High-yield Agricultural Innovation.
This training strengthens our mission to empower farmers in Africa with modern biotechnology, tissue propagation, and advanced mushroom cultivation methods.
